Jenny (she/her) helps learners find delight in academic writing, or at the very least, develop a better relationship with written words. When you first learned to speak, chances are those first fearless babbles and mispronunciations inspired excitement, and those around you celebrated your attempts to "get the words right". Unfortunately, this is not the experience most of us have when we first learn to write. In the context of school, with spelling tests, red pens, and formal rules, writing comes with a sense of dread about "getting it wrong". Jenny's goal as a learning strategist specializing in writing is to first address and reduce the icky feelings that come with doing it.

For over 15 years, Jenny has taught postsecondary students critical thinking, creative writing, and English literature. She has also developed access to education programming and resources for mature students, students with disabilities, and underserved groups. She is currently an Education Developer within disability services at a Toronto university.
