Dana Daniels
Founder of Blue Sky Learning / Lived Wisdom Speaker
Dana Daniels (she/her) is a trailblazer in the fields of disability advocacy and accessible learning. With a late-diagnosis of ADHD and a proud neuroqueer identity, Dana brings a unique perspective and lived experience to her work. Her organization, Blue Sky Learning, was created to fill a critical gap that Dana saw in support systems. Blue Sky Learning provides virtual coaching, counselling, and consulting services focused on individuals with disabilities. Dana is deeply passionate about helping others navigate disability-related challenges while fostering inclusive, empowered communities. Her story is one of resilience, vision, and leadership.
Dana’s professional journey is rooted in a deep commitment to bridging the gaps in support during critical transition periods, such as the move from senior high school to postsecondary education. Her work at York University, Toronto Metropolitan University, and with the Toronto District School Board revealed the urgency of preparing students to advocate for themselves and succeed in environments often ill-equipped to meet their needs. From crisis intervention with at-risk students to delivering educational training and professional development for organizations, Dana has consistently worked at the intersection of inclusion and systemic change.
In a bold celebration of her entrepreneurial spirit, Dana hosted a “business baby shower” to mark the founding of Blue Sky Learning, redefining how women celebrate milestones. This innovative approach reflects her commitment to disrupting norms and challenging ableism and homophobia. Her lived experiences inform every facet of her work, helping to build representation and create spaces where everyone can thrive. Dana’s mission in life is as personal as it is professional: to foster a world where accessibility and equity are not exceptions but standards.
